This Thanksgiving we were invited by our friends, Mike and Cindy to join their family for dinner. We share a love for food and wine, so bringing my sweet potatoes and wine was a total no brainer.
I brought a bottle of J. Lohr Riverstone Chardonnay and in our true tasting fashion, we tried it before we read the tasting notes. We all love a buttery Chardonnay and this has the perfect amount of buttery deliciousness. It was smooth and immediately got rave reviews from all 6 of us trying it.

Now that we all loved it, we wanted to get a price point on it…retailing for only $14.99 but then I found it for as low as $7.99, this wine is out of the vineyard great! We all agreed that we would happily pay more than the retail price because it was simply that good.

“The 2017 Riverstone Chardonnay exhibits youthful hues of light to medium straw. The enticing aromas are reminiscent of peach, nectarine, marmalade, yellow floral, baking spices, and honey. Those aromas echo on the palate and are complemented by orange and apricot, and balanced with a creamy texture from aging sur lie. Flavors of crème brûlée and a touch of oak can be found on the long finish,” Kristen Barnhisel, winemaker.

Hands down, this wine is a must to have in your collection. It pairs well with all things Thanksgiving, but is perfect for all of your dinners and get togethers!
