DIY: Workspace in a Small Space

I’ve worked from home for a decade and recently I’ve needed to redesign my workspace. With the birth of Baby D it’s been easier to work from the couch, but felt less productive. My husband’s workspace consists of a large desk which houses two monitors, a printer and all of his necessary desk items. I decided I was ready for a cute, functional space of my own again….so off to Ikea we went!DSC_0612

I wanted something fresh and clean and white. Ikea has workspaces where you can choose the style, color and size of your desktop and then a variety of legs to go with it. I opted for a white top with Nipen legs (top was $15, legs $20/each). I love the simple and classic look it provides.

For the chair, I wanted fun and comfort and found the Roberget Swivel Chair in turquoise. roberget-swivel-chair-turquoise__0276466_PE414916_S4

As you can also see, my assistant also has his comfy chair close by and his adorable face is always smiling back at me.

Flowers brighten everyone’s day and this gorgeous bouquet was sent to me by my best friend Laura for my birthday.

I love my new workspace and it makes working and blogging even more fun, if that was even possible!
