Hands down I am a Chardonnay lover through and through. Keeping with the theme of finding wines in my backyard, I discovered Testarossa 2013 Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay and I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I was by it.
This is a true Chardonnay…it’s light and buttery with a great flavor and hints of caramel. The winemaker says you’ll enjoy “scents of green apple, custard, honey, butterscotch, and orange blossoms make for an engaging first impression. Vibrant flavors match the aroma profile, and are lengthened by the slightest touch of oak spice.”
I had friends over and asked them to also try this delicacy. They aren’t big fans of Chardonnay but gave this bottle rave reviews and were asking for more!
It retails for about $30, $28 for Testarossa Wine Club members and is a perfect bottle to enjoy any day of the week. If you’d like to view their gorgeous winery with historic wine cellars, be sure to visit their webpage!
